Bug reports

When reporting a problem with a tool, please include your browser, your device, and the file type you were processing — since files never reach our servers, we can only reproduce issues with that information. Screenshots help a lot too.

That constraint is worth spelling out, because it surprises people: the usual "send us the file that broke it" does not apply here. Your file was never uploaded, so there is nothing on our side to inspect — no server log, no copy, no error trace. A bug on this site is reproduced by rebuilding your situation from a description, which is why the details matter more than they would elsewhere. The most useful report names the tool, the browser and version, whether it is a phone or a computer, the file's format and rough size, and what happened instead of what you expected. If the browser console showed an error, that text is gold.

If a tool fails only on one specific file, say so — that usually points at something unusual inside the file rather than at the tool, and it is a different hunt.

Tool requests

Missing a converter, calculator or generator you need? Tell me what it should do and what you'd search for to find it — most tools on this site started as exactly that kind of request.

The phrasing you would type into a search box is genuinely the useful part. It says what the tool is for, which is usually a sharper brief than a feature list: "make this PDF small enough to email" is a better starting point than "PDF compressor with quality slider".

One thing worth knowing before you ask: everything here has to run inside a browser tab, on your own device. That rules out anything needing a server, an API key or an account — which is a real constraint, not a preference, and it is the reason the tools can promise your files never leave your device.

Corrections

Every tool page carries an article explaining the format or the process behind it, written and maintained by the same person who built the tool. If something in one of those is wrong, out of date or misleading, that is worth an email as much as a broken button is. Point at the page and the sentence and it will be fixed or removed.

Privacy and data questions

Questions about what the site collects, about advertising cookies, or about exercising a data right are answered on the privacy policy — including the short version, which is that your files are never collected because they are never sent.
